Any tachibana shs marching band video should have a warning. Its freaking addictive. I didn't even have any interest in marching bands.idk what it is about them. Yet here i am watching anything related to tachibana.i even watch same vids multiple times..i need help!

That flute player is amazing! She’s the only one and anytime the camera is near her I can hear her so well, even when jumping around and swinging her flute up and down. She’s definitely one of my favorites. (Fellow flute players wya?)
They all graduated, which is why the Eb player is back there with her. Not to worry- I think 5 more came in with this year's crop of 1st graders in April. ..Joe

This year, ALL the active flute players graduated, so they moved one of the two flute players they had left from Color Guard back to her instrument, and the standard bearer back to Eb clarinet, and she played flute music to fill out the sound. After the 1st graders came in, 4 more were flautists, so now there's 6 total, with the Eb is still back there with them. Same thing for French Horns. Only 2 this year. What they get it what they get with the outgoing seniors and the incoming freshmen. But they usually make out. It's just the period between late December - when the 3rd graders retire from the band to concentrate on their college entrance exams - and the Music Expo in May (the debut of the new 1st graders playing) that they might be a little short handed. ..Joe

It is my hope that these young folks understand how much happiness they bring to the world at large and that they carry this knowledge all through their lives. They have blessed this old guys life. Like most who comment, I can't keep from smiling and feel joyous.
OK....I’m totally hooked! Cannot get enough of watching this truly magnificent group of young adults. The motivation, enthusiasm and esprit de Corps are off the charts! I have no worries about the future of our world with young men and women such as them leading us into the future. Well done!
I have to say that this is the best video on this particular event, very clear picture and sound. Good to see some band alumni in the crowd. If I'm not mistaken, that 2018 trombone player who did the solo in 'Paradise Has No Border' is @17:29 right side of the screen. I hope to see the band again at the 2021sakura parade.
Not just girls, but a few lads as well. Its part of the school curriculum that every student takes up an activity. Girls are known to take to music where as the boys usually take to sports.

I think most of the comments other people posted before me says it all. Adjectives like wonderful, awesome, amazing, talented to name a few. What more can I say .... it's their individual talents, it's in the culture and the amazing people behind the scenes. Excellent camera work under what are obviously very difficult conditions. Of course the performance is outstanding as usual -- very enjoyable to watch. looking forward to next month's Blumen Hugel parades.
Absolutely love the song at 12:45! I especially love the drum line/how the song ends too! (15:04) It looks like this is a new generation, I don't see any of the familiar faces from other Tachibana videos but nonetheless, this band is still amazing!! I was never into band but now I wish I took band in high school, I guess it's never too late to learn an instrument right? lol (but being a flag girl would be fun too)
Their flag girls (and banner holders) play instruments too when the performance doesn't have dancing. In their stars & stripes forever performance 5 played the oboe and I spotted at least 1 on flute.

Probably not. We Americans tend to overstate the band's importance in Japan. Band size expands as the school year progresses. The 1st year students have only been in training for a couple of months. You can't learn all of the songs and the steps in a short time!
No. Tis is how they PERFORM. They train MUCH harder. It's said by the end of the year every member will have cried. It's that tough: 37.5 hours a week, 360 days a year. ..Joe

It has been written that Disney charged them to perform in Dec 2017. It's not free! Disney even charged them full entry rates when band members visited the park in the evenings after their training & performances.

I just love watching videos, of the Kyoto Tachibana, Senior High School Marching Band, especially when both my adoptive granddaughters are in the video, that is to say; Chippi and/or Penguin. But, it goes without saying that the Kyoto Tachibana, Senior High School Marching Band, are awesome with or without Chippi or Penguin, but by the same token they're more awesome when they are in the videos playing. I can never get enough or tired of watching these youngsters playing and dancing their way into someone else's world and make them smile. They truly do bring lots of smiles and happiness in to the world that is in total chaos and turmoil...... what lovely ambassadors these youngsters would be eh? I have to watch this parade again. I am eagerly waiting for this year's parade after two succeeding years of cancellations due to covid-19. Just learned today that the 2022 sakura parade is cancelled again.
One has to realize that these are students. The dedication, hard work and practice necessary for this level of perfection has to boggle the mind. All this with normal studies makes this the most amazing group of young men and women ever! Well done!😎

Mostly on the parades,theres only 1 flute but in Rose parade and other non parade performance,theyre alot

OK....I’m totally hooked! Cannot get enough of watching this truly magnificent group of young adults. The motivation, enthusiasm and esprit de Corps are off the charts! I have no worries about the future of our world with young men and women such as them leading us into the future. Well done!

I have to say that this is the best video on this particular event, very clear picture and sound. Good to see some band alumni in the crowd. If I'm not mistaken, that 2018 trombone player who did the solo in 'Paradise Has No Border' is @17:29 right side of the screen. I hope to see the band again at the 2021sakura parade.

動画アップありがとうございました。初めてさくらパレードを観させて頂きました。
カメラマンと人の多さにびっくりで、パレードの生徒達と演奏の音を楽しみました。あとで慶次郎前田さんをはじめ、皆さんの動画で楽しめた事を感謝致します。やはり生演奏の音楽は素晴らしいですね。橘吹奏楽部や他の吹奏楽部も素晴らしかったです。改めて音楽の楽しさが分かりました。(楽しくて手拍子で自然とリズムをとってました。)
また、橘吹奏楽部は他の強豪チームに対して、音にアナログというか温かみがあるように感じます。演奏者が楽しんでいるから、人を引き付ける楽しさ、魅力が伝わって来るのでしょうか。私は完全な音楽の素人ですが、すっかり橘吹奏楽部の魅力に嵌まりました。また機会があった応援に行きたいと思います。

(15:04) It looks like this is a new generation, I don't see any of the familiar faces from other Tachibana videos but nonetheless, this band is still amazing!! I was never into band but now I wish I took band in high school, I guess it's never too late to learn an instrument right? lol (but being a flag girl would be fun too)
I read somewhere that the Honour (UK Spelling) Guard (Ladies with Flags) are musically talented too, so dream of doing both
Their flag girls (and banner holders) play instruments too when the performance doesn't have dancing. In their stars & stripes forever performance 5 played the oboe and I spotted at least 1 on flute.

パレードでガードさんがバンドの方を向いてパフォーマンスするのは初めて見ました。自由な発想で楽しいです。Sir Dukeは2018年8月にGrooMe！で演奏してた曲ですね。パレードで演奏するなんてびっくり！Lilo & Stitch Aloha E Komo Mai は112期のパレードで片手挙げる可愛い振り付けが大好きだったのでまた見れて嬉しいです。The Glory Daysはカッコイイ！ 新曲が多くてダンスと暗譜だけでも大変なのに、さくらパレードに間に合わせて部員さんたちはめちゃくちゃ頑張ったと思います。部員さんたちの笑顔もとても良かったです♪

Probably not. We Americans tend to overstate the band's importance in Japan. Band size expands as the school year progresses. The 1st year students have only been in training for a couple of months. You can't learn all of the songs and the steps in a short time!
This is how they train. What a wonderful use of youth. Amazing.
No. Tis is how they PERFORM. They train MUCH harder.
It's said by the end of the year every member will have cried.
It's that tough: 37.5 hours a week, 360 days a year.

It has been written that Disney charged them to perform in Dec 2017. It's not free! Disney even charged them full entry rates when band members visited the park in the evenings after their training & performances.

I just love watching videos, of the Kyoto Tachibana, Senior High School Marching Band, especially when both my adoptive granddaughters are in the video, that is to say; Chippi and/or Penguin.
But, it goes without saying that the Kyoto Tachibana, Senior High School Marching Band, are awesome with or without Chippi or Penguin, but by the same token they're more awesome when they are in the videos playing.
I can never get enough or tired of watching these youngsters playing and dancing their way into someone else's world and make them smile. They truly do bring lots of smiles and happiness in to the world that is in total chaos and turmoil...... what lovely ambassadors these youngsters would be eh?

私は京都橘高等学校マーチングバンドのビデオを見るのが大好きで、特に養子の孫娘が二人もビデオに出演しているときは特にそうです。 チッピーやペンギン。
しかし、京都橘高等学校マーチングバンドがチッピーやペンギンの有無に関わらず素晴らしいのは言うまでもありませんが、同じように、ビデオで演奏しているときの彼らはより素晴らしいです。
これらの若者たちが他の人の世界に入り込んで遊んだり踊ったりして彼らを笑顔にするのを見るのは、いくら見ても飽きることがありません。 彼らは本当に、完全な混乱と混乱に陥っている世界にたくさんの笑顔と幸せをもたらします……この若者たちは何と素敵な大使でしょうね？

Me encanta ver videos de la Kyoto Tachibana, Senior High School Marching Band, especialmente cuando mis dos nietas adoptivas están en el video, es decir; Chippi y/o Pingüina.
Pero no hace falta decir que Kyoto Tachibana, la Banda de Marcha de la Escuela Secundaria, son increíbles con o sin Chippi o Pingüina, pero de la misma manera son más increíbles cuando están en los videos que se reproducen.
Nunca me canso de ver a estos jóvenes jugar y bailar en su camino hacia el mundo de otra persona y hacerlos sonreír. Realmente traen muchas sonrisas y felicidad a un mundo que está en total caos y agitación... qué encantadores embajadores serían estos jóvenes, ¿eh?

I have to watch this parade again. I am eagerly waiting for this year's parade after two succeeding years of cancellations due to covid-19. Just learned today that the 2022 sakura parade is cancelled again.

One has to realize that these are students. The dedication, hard work and practice necessary for this level of perfection has to boggle the mind. All this with normal studies makes this the most amazing group of young men and women ever! Well done!😎
